Response shape

Success is always {"success": true, "data": …}. Paginated collections add meta and links with the same four keys everywhere.

Errors

Every failure uses one envelope. Branch on error.code, never on the message text, and quote request_id in support requests.

Authentication

Press Authorize and paste a token from POST /api/login. Browsers on the storefront are authenticated by their session cookie instead.

Placing an order

POST /api/checkout/submit requires an Idempotency-Key header. Reuse the same value when retrying so a dropped connection cannot create a second order.
